Terms of service

Last updated October 4, 2026

These terms apply to merchants who install Mint Team Order ("the app"), made by Mint Labs ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

The service

The app adds a "Start a team order" block to your product pages and team pages to your Shopify store (through an app proxy), where an organiser collects their team's sizes and personalisation and then checks out for everyone, or each member checks out on their own; plus an admin area with every team order, its roster and size summary. We may improve or change features; we will not remove a paid feature you rely on without notice.

Team orders and your checkout

You choose which products can be in a team order, what members fill in, how long team orders stay open and the optional team discount tiers. Team orders are paid in your normal Shopify checkout: the team page puts the items in the shopper's cart with their details as line item properties, and Shopify calculates prices, taxes, shipping and discounts as usual. Personalisation is typed by your customers; you remain responsible for checking it before production, for your orders, refunds, taxes and customer service. Shopify's own cart limits apply (for example the add-to-cart limit per product in your checkout settings).

Billing

Plans are chosen on Shopify's plan page and billed by Shopify every 30 days in USD after the free trial. You can change or cancel at any time on that page or by uninstalling the app. Charges are handled entirely by Shopify under Shopify's terms.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the app available, accurate and secure, but it is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the 3 months before a claim.

Data processing addendum

When the app processes personal data of your customers on your behalf, you are the controller and we are the processor. We will:

  • process personal data only to provide the app's features, following your instructions given through the app's settings;
  • process only the minimum data needed: what organisers and members type on the team pages (team name, first names, the personalisation fields you define, chosen options), an organiser's optional email address for reminders (with their consent), and the order ID and number of paid orders that contain team order items — never Shopify customer records, and never visitors' IP addresses (rate limits use a keyed one-way hash);
  • never sell personal data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models;
  • keep it confidential and limit access to authorised personnel;
  • encrypt it in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (Cloudflare D1 encryption at rest);
  • use Cloudflare (hosting, database and email sending) and Shopify as our only sub-processors;
  • delete each team order and its entries 60 days after it closes and an organiser's email address when the team order closes, anonymise the entries linked to a customer's orders when Shopify sends an erasure request, and delete all store data after uninstall (shop redaction);
  • help you respond to data subject requests (the app lets you download what it holds linked to a customer's orders) and notify you without undue delay of any personal data breach.

Changes

We will post changes to these terms here and update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
